Position Summary

As CFE International advances its strategic agenda, the CEO needs a Special Assistant who can translate vision into action. Serving as a project manager and strategic coordinator, you will synchronize executive priorities, convert high-level strategy into executable workstreams, and keep the leadership team at CFE International fully aligned with the CFE family of companies and the Board. The role demands sharp analytical judgment, impeccable writing skills, and total confidentiality—streamlining communication and steering critical projects from idea to impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the CEO’s strategic calendar—filter requests, align priorities, and ensure follow-through on critical initiatives.
  • Lead and track cross-functional projects: define scope, milestones, and success metrics; monitor progress and escalate issues promptly.
  • Prepare executive reports, materials, and high-impact presentations in flawless English and Spanish.
  • Coordinate with executive leadership across subsidiaries and the parent company to synchronize deliverables and share insights.
  • Conduct research and scenario analysis to inform the CEO’s decision-making on growth, risk, and operational priorities.
  • Act as primary liaison for internal, external, and family-company stakeholders and the Board, ensuring clear action items and timelines.
  • Maintain an organized flow of confidential information—draft correspondence, log decisions, and enforce document-control protocols.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business, Engineering, Public Policy, or a related discipline.

Experience

  • 5 + years of supporting a CEO, Board Chair, or C-suite leader plus demonstrable project-management expertise.
  • Native-level bilingual English–Spanish with executive-writing proficiency.
  • Proven record of handling top-confidential material with discretion and integrity.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Expert command of project-management frameworks, Gantt or Agile tools, and KPI tracking.
  • Superior PowerPoint, Excel, and data-visualization abilities to create board-ready deliverables.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical acumen to synthesize complex topics into actionable insights.
  • Relationship-building skills across cultures and corporate structures (U.S.–Mexico).
  • Crisis-management poise; able to reprioritize swiftly under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or equivalent graduate degree.
  • Experience in energy, commodities, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Certification in corporate governance or board secretariat functions.
