Position Summary
The Accounts Receivable Analyst is responsible for preparing revenue invoices, ensuring the timely collection of outstanding payments, investigating and resolving billing issues, reconciling intercompany accounts, recording accounting transactions, and supporting reporting, month-end closing, and audit processes to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare invoices and credit notes in the company´s ERP system based on supporting documentation and generate account statements or detailed transaction reports for both related parties and third-party clients.
- Record and monitor revenue estimates during each accounting close period.
- Calculate the expected credit loss for the customer portfolio at the end of each quarter for analysis and proper accounting recognition.
- Apply and reconcile incoming payments.
- Generate and analyze accounts receivable aging reports.
- Monitor overdue accounts and initiate appropriate collection actions.
- Provide support during internal and external audits.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional accounting certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus.
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in equivalent positions.
Skills & Knowledge
- Knowledge of U.S. tax regulations and accounting legislation.
- Solid understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP)
- Proficiency in ERP systems and accounting software (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, Odoo, among others).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Analytical thinking, with the ability to interpret financial reports and trends.
